Great stories of old Santa Cruz mountains. Tells me why all the streets have their names. Very interesting collection from articles written in the 1930s by a reporter for the SJ Mercury Herald.

Great resource on Santa Cruz mountain lore. The story of Silent Charley, stage coach driver, keeps popping up in my head. No one realizes until he died that he was really, a woman. Really colorful characters in the old mountain stories.

Really great local history for the area I grew up. I had a friend live up near Skyline Blvd. as a kid. The adventures we went on in the forest. She lived in one of the old buildings fixed up to rent out. It was the conductor's house for a disused railroad station. Finding out tons of good information on the mountains that surround the Silicon Valley.
