Well, I don't expect much from quickies, but it definitely is distracting when we get infinite details of boring regular, everyday things, in the story. "And then I turned the tap, 1/4 turn, and 3/4 for the other, so it was the perfect temperature to wash my face". That kind of stuff doesn't bode well for keeping me interested for the 2nd half of the book 🤨
