Pretty interesting learning about the North African campaign; the close battles and the strife between the British and Americans, and the lack of leadership in the American generals until Patton waf given control of the II Corps.

The fall of France, Battle of Britain, and the invasion of Crete. I knew Italy was horrible, but goodnight, they are like WWII's comedic relief....

From the invasion of Poland to the evacuation at Dunkirk. Mostly stuff I knew, with a few things that were new to me, like the Saar Offensive that was a humiliating attack and that King Leopold never went into exile after the surrender of Belgium, but remained a German prisoner for the whole war. It's an enjoyable read so far.
