I just love Walter de la Mare's writing. It is always so precise. His earliest stories are not special the way his classic ones are but even his very first one in this collection, A:B:O, is deeply disturbing in the most subtle way. The disturbance comes to you later and you keep thinking about that ending. Good thing that Ray from Tartarus manged to find a copy and I was quick enough to acquire it.
