Every time Maude realizes something painfully obvious, I repeat this. And man, I loved Therion's character w/all his layers in the previous book—it's really hard not to be all gooey about him. The fact that he's able to accept her as she is without the disingenuous "she's so SMART and AMAZING!" tripe that usually comes and just lets her work it out? Slowly? So many puffy hearts for this dude.

Oh, no...she’s really slow. This is going to be a tough read for me, even though I love Therion so much. I have the hardest time dealing with characters who are slow-to-never on the uptake. And her realization of this fact is just gutting. To be clueless and be aware of it. Ouch.
