It is somewhat worrying to what extent I see myself in Raskolnikov (or is it the other way around?). Raskolnikov's thoughts and feelings are so grittily described---something I've never seen before in a book. It's as if Dostoevsky is able to read your mind, picks out all the nasty bits and dissects them right there on the page. Looking forward to reading more.
