Wow! What an incredible story of survival. This is a powerful story that is recent enough to make me keenly aware of the atrocities happening every day in our world. While the book paints a picture of hatred and evil, a thread of hopefulness, finding the good in humanity, and being grateful in the worst of situations runs through the story.
