I'm enjoying it way more now! It took a while, but I'm finally appreciating the characters (though we just left Uppercross aka the fun house and back to the annoying part of the family, let's see how we keep up).
And I'm baffled that Anne gets the Captain in the end? He's like totally into Louisa?? I'd say they even go along better?? I wish we had a proper flashback to Anne's engagement...

The last couple of chapters, in which the main couple finally see each other after years apart, was really engaging. But everything prior was oh so slow I fell asleep reading at one point. Instead of talking a little bit more about Anne and Fred's relationship all those years ago, there is so much focus in the shallowness of these family members I couldn't care less about. I miss Pride and Prejudice.
