Halfway through this book, and I've already experienced a couple of paradigm shifts. Every hope that the conventional wisdom has for cohabitation - that it will lead to a lower divorce rate, that it helps couples prepare themselves for marriage, that it leads to less heartbreak if the relationship doesn't work out - has been conclusively shown to be false by extensive research. Lord, have mercy.
