...death can create a lonely fortress for the living. It’s hard to emerge from our places of sorrow when we are raw and vulnerable and shattered. What makes this even more isolating is that very few people seem to want to come in, at least after the initial news of our loss. It’s as if grief has carved out a terrifying moat that keeps others at bay.
