Dense read, but rewarding. Waldenfels manages to clearly set apart some of the basic terms and moves that trip up or stall most modern, postmodern and contemporary thought. The elaboration that follows seemed a bit here nor there, but it's a relief in itself to read someone who is content to patiently explain a field of positions and their consequences, as opposed to just rushing the reader on to some conclusion.
