So basically stuff has happened, including Bridgette's tragic backstory (which is the time that she accidently set fire to herself and her baby sister), plus it's been very confirmed that weird porcupine man (Mr Spines, Melchior, whatever) is Edward's dad, which is totally shocking and not obvious.
Also Ed lost the cards that are extremely important to him within the first chapter, but they haven't been mentioned.
