I find it interesting people trashed this book. As a Black woman I found it genuine and engaging. It is not a scholarly work of literature and it doesn’t pretend to be. She openly admits her privilege (white,Christian,resources) and her struggles. That’s the point. Definitely not earth shattering but is a support and encouragement for others to realize they’re not alone. And that had value.
