loved the part about grief, and how it doesn't act as it should /according to the literature and prevailing wisdom. I've felt this too, about my boys. A little less in love with the section I'm reading now, about the search for a new school; I realize this is a memoir and not a how-to guide, but this seems less universally connecting and more personal.
