An enjoyable easy read. Memoirs of an ordinary girl growing up in the east end of London in the early 1900’s. How different life was back then living in tenement blocks and slums, outside toilets and little running water. 1 thing is certain they seemed to have a happy upbringing in a hard world, todays kids wouldn’t know what’s hit them living without phones, tv and fast food.
Not my usual read but enjoyable.
