1. Nothing is happening except for unnecessarily long conversations and angst. 2. This author obviously knows nothing about college admissions or AP tests. 3. If this teenager is as wealthy as he's supposed to be, then why the fuck doesn't he already have a passport?

Great opening, but I'm losing my patience. People's emotions come across way too strong, and the insta-love is annoying. Also, too much dialogue, with weak scaffolding to put it together.
