Wow. All the short stories have felt like they’ve been leading up to something. These women with their tidy lives in short story form leaving me questioning their terse realities, yet enjoying this sense of deep connection with their insane humanity.

I’ve been hearing about this story called The Lottery and it was it seems a turning point in her writing-that is if I am reading her stories in any kind of order.
