Why the added unnecessary tension in the final chapter?
Also just a general note: the voice in this is not there at all. It's not distinctively from Elena's or Cora's perspective, so it can get confusing who is speaking or even who is thinking what.

I'm so glad this book is short because I definitely would have DNFd it if I had to read like 300 pages. It's not even particularly unlikable, it's just? So basic that it's exceptionally boring to read.

This book is so... nothing. I don't feel anything for these characters, because they are nothing beyond the words used to describe them. There's nothing deeper.

You know when a book is just? Dialogue? Like, just people having conversations and then moving to another location and having different conversations. That's what this feels like. And they're not even particularly interesting conversations. Plus a weird cookbook section.
(Sidenote: I wish conversations about being asexual could ever be anything but here's what asexuality is and why it sucks.)

I feel very... ripped off by this book? I bought the paperback (because I always do) for like £7.50, but it's very clearly just a novella printed onto a few pages. There aren't page numbers and the font is large and annoying to read. I would expect to pay a couple of quid for this as an ebook, and the quality of the paperback doesn't reflect the premium price.
