I feel like I'm missing something. She's alluding to the fact that she became an escort to help her brother. But when we first meet her she introduces herself as an escort and her brother doesn't need her to save his hide under he punches someone at that party...So she DIDN'T become an escort for him.

I believe that Candy (the coke head stripper) told Hector Mendez about Lacey. You would think Lacey would have been more in tune with the threat seeing as Candy is from her home town and it was likely she knew her.
