2020-10-29: Finished reading Book 2, Ember Gods. I did not like it. Not at all. It was tedious and hurried. That is, the story was tedious in many places and maybe the author felt the same because there were many places where the narration was hurried - the author was taking shortcuts in the narration and they didn't flow well. Also, the "Ember Gods" in the title are practically insignificant in the narrative.
