Yeah, I'm not impressed by this book, cuz Cam was basically a douche throughout the whole thing, and I just never connected with Eve. And these last couple of pages? Yeah I don't buy that, without explaination, they're back to where they were, with Eve bringing everyone together. I feel like there's a chunk in between which was cut out, cuz they went from not talking to living together just like that. Erm, what? No.

Erm no. Who does he think he is, leaving her without a word or explaination, and then expecting her to forgive and welcome him with open arms? When she needed him, he wasn't ready to commit, but now that he's suddenly ready, he still expects her to be at the ready, as if he didn't just break her heart? I'm sorry, but the world does not rotate around you and your needs, Cam.

He's seriously running? Now? After everything she'd just been through, he's just going to leave her all alone? I get why this is bringing back memoires he's tried to shove down, but he literally just thouhgt about trying to let her in more, and then he runs instead? No, I don't care if I don't really like Eve all that much, but she sure as hell deserves better than that.

I get why the Rosie-topic is hard for Cam (and Ry and D'lilah), but I think it might be a little too much to ask of Eve to attend a birthday dinner, where the elephant in the room is so obvious, but no one acknowledges it, which leads her to believe it's her presence that's throwing everyone off. I really hope Cam confides in her soon, and admits to liking her more than as a distraction.

Mostly when Cam and Eve are together, the age difference doesn't seem that obvious, but this, her being mad at him because he made her sweat during a workout just made me think less of her because that's bullshit. I get that she wants to look good for him, but he invited her, so he knew what he was getting into, which just makes her comes across as whiny and childish in my opinion.

So he's 38 and she's in her early 20s. No wonder Eve seems so young and naive in comparison to him (he's very crynic and grumpy in spite of his age though, so it's not saying much). I'll be honest and say that Eve hasn't really impressed me so far, and it could be because I just don't like her attitude, but I'm hoping it improves. At it is now, she does not seem to be able to handle Cam and all his demons.
