So far, things are not looking well for the family. Specially not for their farm. I do have to say I enjoy the how the author writes in third person and gives details about different character. It's nice to see different perspectives or know what each character is concerned about at the moment.

I am going to stick with this book because I am interested in how the characters are going to overcome the many challenges they are facing. It feels like new obstacles are coming their way one after another.
