The horse whisperer is back in the picture. Kevin invited her to meet Sylvester in person as well as Randi ( the trainer). Randi does not believe in what this girl does and while at the barn the two get in an argument. Mocha Time had another race in which she came in last out of five others. This did not make Kevin happy, he actually was quite infuriated.

Mocha time had two more races tilled the end I the season. In both if them she did well. However Mocha Time was claimed in the end. Kevin was a upset but his relationship and partnership with Randi did not come to an end.

Kevin was taken to another auction, but this auction was different from the first one he went to. This auction was for horses that would most likely end up at a slaughter house. It really effects him and Kevin begins to rethink what Mocha Time does for him and Randi in every race. He believes that each race that she runs is a fight for here life since she is always in claiming races.

Mocha Time just had her sixth race. At the beginning of it she was doing well until the jockey lost its whip going around the finally turn. In the end she finished third, which was fine with the author. In this section the author also went to a horse auction. This auction was nothing compared to the one that occurs in Saratoga each year. At the auction Chong met two other horse owners that he began to talk to.

Kevin visited Woodbine Park in Toronto with his old girlfriend. It rekindles a memory from the past that causes discomfort in them both. After Toronto, Kevin moves on to visit historical Saratoga just in time to see the Travers. Next stop is Manhattan.

In this part Kevin decides he is going to visit an old girlfriend in Toronto. This all comes about after he had little success with the old girlfriend in Louisville. He is hoping in this trip he will find true love. This is one of the things on his bucket list.

In this section it is Mocha Time's trainers birthday. The author thought it would be cool for the two of them to go get a tattoo. The author later decided against it and the trainer went along with him. Also a horse whisper came to the track to talk to one of the horses named Sylvester, it was quite interesting to hear what was on his mind.

In this chapter the author learns more about the other trainer that he was interested in buying part of a horse from. He learns that a couple years ago Sid's son had died in a murder. It all was related to things going on in the track as well as with a drug scandal. This murder caused Sid to leave the track for a while but after some time he returned to Hastings.

All of mocha times other owners pulled out and the author is left with the agonizing thought of what he should do. After thinking it over and deciding that the trainer would not stirring him wrong and lose all of his money he doubles his investment in the horse. After signing the check he feels some resentment.

Mocha time had another claimed race in these pages. Since she won her last race her claim went up. In this race however she came in third. After the race the author showed his friends wife and kids the backstretch. Chong also called for a animal communicator to talk to his horse to prove that racing was not bad.

In this chapter Chong is faced with an opponent who believes horse racing is bad and a form of abuse. After thinking and talking to his horse's trainer he realizes that it is not bad. Instead he feels that the horses like to race and compares them to border collies. How if they were to just set around they would be board. At the end he visits the Wild Horses of Alberta Society.
