Not quite sure how to categorize this book yet, but the writing style takes some “getting used to” for me. It reminds me of essay prompts in AP English, when I had to analyze sentence structure, literary devices and word choice to vaguely understand what’s going on. :P

DNF at 30%, but I’m REALLY sad about it and may try again someday. The story is fun and curious.
I think if the cast were in high school (aged up to 17 maybe instead of 14), I would be more interested. All the sexual talk bothers me, but I’ll chalk that up to me being ace and not “getting” how allo kids think in middle school. The writing just isn’t clicking with me, and that’s okay.
