I kinda love this for Trix, because she deserves someone who sees her for her and not her body. Also the fact that she's already beginning to warm up to the idea of a relationship with Mason and doesn't just brush it off as him wanting a fuckbuddy - win! Whenever he doesn't act like an asswipe (which seems to be triggered by his brother's presence) he's really respectful and sweet and just absolutely swoon-y.

While I didn't really like the first part, I loved the middle. The last part was.. okay, but I didn't love it either, because no matter how sweet and attentive Mason was, he couldn't make up for my frustration with Trix at times. But because I loved the middle so much, I'll rate it based on what I feel like it deserves - 4 stars for Mason's awesomeness and how sweet they were together in the middle :3c

Ugh, I'm getting real tired of Trix' mood swings! First she's too focused on revenging Lana, then she wants Mason, but then Lana again, and then she's willing to commit to Mason in a long-term way, then Hatch comes back and bye Mason, then she makes promises to Mason again (even makes him promise to wait for her while she's out with another guy, for christ sake!), and now she leaves him without explaination? Gah!

I really didn't think he'd agree to letting her do this - it literally goes against everything he stands for, as his number one priority is keeping her safe. Also, it's fucked up that she's asking him to wait on the sidelines, while she's seducing someone else. Nah, I think it's selfish of her, cuz she has literally no idea how long it will take for her to get answers, and he's just supposed to wait? Nope, not okay.

Excactly! Even her father sees how she's burning herself out by trying to catch someone who's smoke all the while forgetting the one who she seeks revenge for, only wanted her to live life happily.
Also Trix' family is the shit and I love this side of her, and hope we get to see more of it, if Mason somehow manages to pull her from the stage and somehow shows her it's safe to want more without the guilt.

I get that Trix loved her sister dearly, but she can't seriously feel guilty about finally pursing her own happiness and not focus only on finding her murderer. That's messed up and unhealthy. Please, Mason, show her that she's worth more and deserves everything. Mason's need to worship women together with Trix' idea that she's worth less make these two fit perfectly together. They need each other and I ship it! :p

Wow, I really love how they handled that clusterfuck. And Jonah's right; it's not Trix' fault Blake was an asshat in the early stages on his relationship with Layla and sought Trix out. The fact that they don't blame her for his mistakes because she's a stripper speaks volumes about this group and I love it. And I love that Mason didn't blame her for her profession, as he knew what he was getting into from the start.

This right here is why I'm not 100p behind this book. They literally both just did a one-eighty from "this is stupid, we can't be together cuz of her job/he's a distraction" to "no way in hell I'm giving up on us" without explanation. It's like there is a chunk missing, where they rationalized this, but we don't get to read it, and just have to accept these two's crazy mood swings. Love these two together, but damn..

I do not like this hot and cold thing Mason has going on, where he's sweet and a gentleman one second, then the next he's an asshole. I feel like he has two personalities, because one has literally nothing to do with the other - it's like it's two different people. The rude asshole and the polite MMA fighter. And I'm with Trix; who the hell is he to judge her, when he knows nothing about her and why she's there.

I agree with Mason; Trix is a puzzle I can't wait for him to solve. Whenever he isn't a jackass, they're actually quite perfect together. And the fact that they can already hold a civil conversation without throwing attitude at each other is a good sign! I hope they figure out soon that they might be perfect for each other, so they each just be there for the other, which neither seem to have had in the past.

I get that he got burned by Eve and still nurses a broken heart, but that doesn't give him a free pass to being a dick. Where's the sweet and fun-loving guy I know from the previous books? I really just hope he mans up soon and doesn't let this go on for too long, because no one wants a jackass, and I sure don't have the patience for one.
