Return to rest, quietness, and trust. It requires so little from us, yet we say no thanks and instead grasp for our own flimsy control. We turn our way instead of God’s way... Without spending time listening for the Lord’s direction and affirmation, we’re susceptible to looking to other people to fill us up... spend time looking to God to do only what He can do: fill us up as He leads us to our belonging place.

God always picks up what the impossible lays down. May you let Him take the burden from your shoulders. May you be comfortable being seen less, because this is how you know your belonging more.

They first trusted Him, then they saw the reward. Faith came before the fruit...Deciding to follow Jesus is a decision and a process.

The enemy will attack the essence of who we are and what we do. He will gladly and enthusiastically stir up our worst fears, and before long our actions stem forth from his lies rather than God’s truth.

Goodness comes from listening to and heading God’s voice in the quiet, even when He asks us to makes change or accept a new direction that takes us from a place we already feel we belong.

I’m sorry should be saved for situations that warrant repentance. It should be used in circumstances where we need forgiveness. It shouldn’t be used because we believe we’re intrinsically sorry or no good.

We hope God only allows pain in our life if it will give us future gain...God will sometimes allow confusion in your life for the purpose of refining your journey.
Back road routes are often wandered as we journey toward the place God has for us. We shouldn’t always assume a closed door means we’re not hearing the Lord correctly. Sometimes a door shut is only a direction changed or a path refined.

Social media teaches us if we post a well-thought-out photo with a clever paragraph next to it we can "buy" our worth based on who likes our photo or how many comments we accrue... sitting and waiting for someone to "like me" and therefore convince me I belong... sharing in order to get is a dead end road... if we're struggling with our belonging, it's worth evaluating our hearts motive toward [our expectations]
