A bit more M/s than the brand of D/s I prefer but engaging.

This gets into some fairly hard core BDSM. It also doesn't really work well as a standalone book IMO. See what you think. :)

Camy Oh, it's one of those where you're left with a bit of a cliffhanger and have to read the sequels?

Jyanx I hated Hector so much by the end of this one.

I wouldn't say cliff hanger, more that the real issues between these men remain buried and unaddressed. They both have serious problems they aren't confronting. So this book drags them out, the next book is them sort of trying to deal with them but mostly unseriously going through the motions and in the last book they are forced to face them, both individually and together. So you have to read the whole arc to get there.

Really? He's still loving and quite the positive "lane" for Sam after the horror that was Marcus. But I'm only a third of the way in, so...

Jyanx It was closer to the end that he really started to earn my hatred.

Ugh, I hate that. One of the thousand reasons I disliked Cut & Run. Sequels should have separate plot devices/developments and should be optional, I believe. Ah well, depending on how I feel by the end of this I may make the exception and read on.

ttg Camille, no worries about a cliffhanger, although I can see what Kate said about getting a more clear relationship arc by going into the next books. My only issue is that I don't feel compelled to continue. :/ I'm interested in seeing what you think by the end of this one.

Oh! It'll be interesting to see how he evolves from understanding master to monster then :-s

Didn't read the rest of them. The end of the first made me mad enough that I didn't go on.

That's quite the turn around from your early status updates :-)
I need to read faster, RL be damned, and see what undergoes a 180 here.

Hector is overly possessive and has anger issues. Sam is clinically depressed and insecure. They feed each other's problems. You will see. :D
