I actually tried reading this a few years ago, but my Japanese wasn’t good enough. I picked it up again some months ago, and was surprised at how much I was able to understand. I guess living in Japan for 9 years does result in some incidental learning, even when formal Japanese-language studies have ended. Am totally enjoying the book now. Yotsuba is so adorable!
