"It was then I realised that all men, no matter their estate, posses souls--deserve to be free" (Chabon 22). This line stuck out to me because it highlights society's expectancies of men. Society's shared outlook on the discrimination of people based on their social class or possession of materialistic goods controls their attitude towards one another.
