What an amazing insight into high school sports and how teams can be treated. While the use of steroids is mentioned it is not the main focus. Watching Matt deal with the side effects of steroid usage, an unstable relationship with his father, and deciding to stand up for another teammate is a slow and painful evolution. A good book for mature readers.
