I was expecting a fantasy story with some romance mixed in, but instead I got a romance story with some fantasy mixed in. The main character feels like a ragdoll; she doesn't really do anything, only internally reacts to what goes on around her.
The introduction was a lot more interesting than the rest of the book that followed.
