Just finished Claire Harman’s Murder by the Book. Natural progression: Jack Sheppard. A book accused of causing citizenry’s bad behavior and even a murder during early years of Queen Victoria’s reign. Shaken baby syndrome on page 13. No wonder he grew up to be a criminal.
