Wow, these chapters are long. I’m not used to this (anymore?).

Spoiler alert. I guess I never thought of seduction as a way to rail at God, for doing something evil because one is angry at God.

Galeran seems hot & cold ... forcing Jeanne to divulge more than she is offering, and yet when she expounds even further, (about their now departed son) he tells her to stop and sends her away. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Was it hate to wish a creature did not exist?

Galeran is now 25. He was 22 when he’d taken up the cross (joined the Crusades).

I thought I read somewhere that this is only loosely related to the rest of the series anyway. Since this is the only one of the series not available at my local library, I might as well take advantage of my brief Kindle Unlimited subscription to read it!
