Voyagers has at least two story archetypes, The Quest and Voyage.The Quest is an archetype because they search to find an important object, one of the seven elements. Another story archetype is Voyage. Voyage is an archetype because Team Alpha travels to a strange land, a new planet containing the element that they were assigned to retrieve.

Project Alpha, Voyagers contains many different types of fantasy genres. One genre is Science Fantasy. Voyagers is Science Fantasy because they travel to new planets without oxygen tanks and ride flying horses. Another genre is High Fantasy. High Fantasy is a genre because the stories setting takes place in a made up world with made up elements. The characters also have superhuman powers.
