I a hell of lot of the Xanth books,I first came across them over 30+us ago the early books are the best If haven't read any this perhaps not a one to start with.Their is no map to start with & you not get half of it.
Piers Anthony is The original pun fantasy author before Terry Prattchet or Robert Rankin .
His books are very fun.
