Okay, first impressions. Maas throws out a lot of terminology at you in the beginning, it's kind of hard to wrap your head around it. As a long time reader of SJM, I've been so used to her not using modern slang/curses that it's a bit disconcerting to see the word "fuck" thrown around a lot. Otherwise, the book is just starting out and I'm sure once I get into it, I'll be more comfortable with the world.
