I just don't like the tone of the author. I tried Clam Starr and gave up and I'm about to dnf this one too. I'm not prude but I keep swearing to stressful situations. First page in, quote: "made me want to shit myself". Two paragraphs down: "pissed him of the most". Unnecessary proletarian language. Am I just a snob?
It's such a shame because the main character sounds interesting, I like how she battles with herself
