In the first chapter. This is interesting, but the prose is somewhat dense. 1st chapter on background and initial protests to Nazi persecution of Jews in Germany early 1930s. Higher ed. admins and scholars shine by their absence. In fact, a good number of those scholars actually defended Nazi policies. And as I read, a part of me wonders if history could not repeat itself closer to home.
