"Sukatch." At first I thought it's male variation of "suka" - bitch. LMAO 😂 OK, a bit extravagant, but OK. But then there is translation "Russian for snitch". WHAT? Smack in another rather tragic scene. WTF?
"sTukach" means "snitch" from word "stuck" (rhymes with "cook"), as in a way to pass information between prison walls. It might have been a typo, but then again, as a native speaker for beta!! 😠

She has done it again at 99%! The final nail, so to speak. “Nichevo” is NOT a proper response to “Spasibo”, let alone it’s also misspelled. Don’t ever think you’ve learned something here.
I have an impression that if there was a native speaker, it was someone who was brought to GB as a child. My daughter and her Russian friends make same mistakes exactly and they are of a 4-5 year old.

So, I don't understand. GR allows 420 characters for the updates, but cuts you short at 400?
Anyway, my latest update got messed up, but I figure it's not hard to fill in the blanks.
Barbara, seriously, there are Russian speaking members in M/M Romance, and any of us are happy to help.

Продолжаем веселиться:
Следующее словечко - Сукач (это НЕ фамилие такое).
"Sukatch" - по простоте душевной мне cначала показалось что это вариант суки в мужском исполнении. Ан нет!
Это, оказывается, "сТукач"! Как автор дальше поясняет "Russian for snitch".
То ли буква Т у нее расшалилсь, то ли ей просто пофигу было (судя по предыдущим перлам), кто знает? Снова ржу, снова в середине напряженной сцены 😂

Bratkin - Little brother? What the heck???
Bratik, bratok, bratan, bratishka.
Bratkin? Never heard of it.
*fumes* 😡
I am shocked that someone who consistently chooses to have Russian characters in their books has so little desire to get the language right, however little of it is actually in the book.

”Dobraye ootro” ржунимагу! 😂
Что за чудак испортил автору текст? Ootro sounds plain creepy! Who told the author it’s ok to ignore the correct spelling?
Way to jerk a reader out of the book, especially from a very tense scene in which one of the MCs meets a person who can easily end him and his lover. I can’t take it seriously because of a sloppy phrase! *still laughing* 😝 One star off!

Both names are messed up in the book 😠
Why not ask a Russian member of GR to check Russian names? Why do writers keep ignoring native speakers? I don’t get it! 🤷♀️
