Is this well translated*? No. But is it an interesting reinterpretation of the Faust legend? Also no.

* Can’t speak to the German language writing quality, but this English translation reads really clunky in ways that are sometimes so awkward they’re offputting. Also: thanks for not giving me any warning about a pretty graphic rape scene! Yikes!
