What is your current view and why isn’t he successful?

View up to this point was that Romans 11 implies a future mass salvation of Jews shortly before the return of Christ (though not a restoration of Israel as a theocratic nation). Storms, however, makes a really strong case that the salvation of Israel described in Romans 11 is the salvation of the Jewish remnant throughout the church age. At the moment, I find both views make worthwhile points, so for now I'm simply witholding judgment until I can study it further. The next book on my to-read list should help with that: Three Views on Israel and the Church, edited by Compton and Naselli.
