Interesting book. Wondered if (spoiler) have been (spoiler) and it was just as I thought. Richard is a very much villain, wonder if a little more of each character's past could be seen but it is a solid read.
Dominica is sheltered because all her life, the priory, the routines and its inhabitants are all she knew. Wanting to go on a pilgrimage, it slowly changes her worldview and in the end, what she wants from life.
