Totally saw the revelation coming, still enjoyed the way it was done. On a side note, in my opinion so far this is a lot better than the Grisha-trilogy that it apparently gets compared with all the time.

What I got from the reviews so far is that this is a very polarising read. Apparently, you either hate it or love it. So far I find myself closer to the latter, particularly because it is great fun for me to parse out what creatures and words and myths influenced the author on different occasions.
