Still working on this one. I know the dudes who robbed Amai are Cantons 2 cousins. I feel bad for Canton because he likes her and didn't have anything to do with the robbery.Nadir even had a hand in his extortion tax going up when all he is doing is being a business man. I don't know why I still think his interest in Amai has something to do with Jaide.But either way, I want her back with Nadir.Jaide can go!

Still working on this. Ion know what I'm waiting or hoping for. But I don't care about Canton. I think his hangup with Jaide and how Nadir is getting sick of her shit is gonna cause some kind of incident. How she feels about Amai might be some kind of motivator when she finds out they been hanging out. I just don't see his point otherwise. Like I can barely get through his chapters.

Back at it after months of quarantine and only bingeing tv shows...no reading. Anyway, I wish she kept Canton as a side character. Why do I care to hear things from his perspective? I don't feel like I do.

His mother is a lying ass snake bitch. I know that was a contributing factor to her misery. But Nadir didn't really give her any reason not to trust him.

I'm so annoyed with Amai. She definitely used Nadir to get away from her family. She wasn't interested in and didn't understand his lifestyle in the 1st place. If she didn't need an escape she would not have married him. It's fucked up she wants to blame him for her unhappiness.

I don't like Canton. I don't really like Amai either. The only people I really like are Nadir and Raye. I stopped reading months ago when we got to the part where I guess we're getting into more of Cantons life. I don't really care about him. I am curious why he didn't just remain a secondary character though. There must be a reason why we're getting his POV.

Idk how I want this to end.I literally have no predictions. I know I'm not too fond of Amai, even though I guess I should be.I love Nadir and Raye and hate Jaide and Lena.I don't know. I really don't want Amai and Canton to get together,but I also don't want Nadir to take her back.She need to be by herself and figure her shit out.She went from her parents to Nadir and now she wild and reckless. She needs to chill.

It's getting messy. Jaime had Amai followed and arrested and told Lena that Raye met with her in secret. So now all of Nadirs wives are on his bad side. Amai for obvious reasons, Jaide for being sneaky and conniving, like his mama, and Raye for what he sees as questionable loyalty. His mother is a lying bitch! Like look in your eye and lie to your face.

So 9 pgs in we already get a surprise; Canton and Nadir aren't strangers! *gasps.Also I was wrong about Canton dying.He has a POV in this one.I'm not rooting for Amai.I'm rooting for Nadir.I don't like his mother,but I like him.Amai been getting on my nerves since the beginning. She's the one who married into the lifestyle. Now she's turning her nose up.I'm kind of anxious to see how this will affect the family.
