God I've missed Sin & Boyd. I'm so glad I'm back in their world... and this time I get to enjoy it with my pal Jenni. Well, I'll enjoy it for a little while BEFORE THEY DESTROY ME AGAIN. Meh, them's the brakes ;)

But watching you go through SF, I know you can handle ICoS. This series is my number one all-time favorite! I hope you'll give it a go!

@Susan, I can't believe people are saying it's better than SF. Sure, I'm loving it but I can't fathom anything better that the epic VaDan saga. Can't wait to see where this will take me....

There are parts in this series (book 2: Afterimage) that are even harder. It was BRUTAL. But, just like SF...everything, the devastation, the journey, made the END so WORTH it! I am totally weak-sauce when it comes to angst...and though this series almost destroyed me, in the end, it was the BEST I'd ever read!
You guys can do it! I'll be here to support you...I promise!
PS - I think I mentioned to someone else on GR, but SF is like a deep knife stab that gets you in your gut and twists and turns till you writhe in agony. ICoS is like 1000 little papercuts that hurt and then hurt more and then hurt even more until...well, you writhe in agony.
Either way, it hurts. But, in the end...man...sooooo sooo good.
@Sue...it gets harder. Evenfall is just the setup. :) just sayin'. ha!

Ok, BK...I don't do cheating either. It's my hard limit...that much I know. I have the same reaction as you do.There is some infidelity of sorts in this series. I don't want to spoiler. But there's just a lot of misunderstandings between the MC's and they are very broken people. But the HEA is so WORTH IT. I promise!
But, I really don't want you to read this if it you won't eventually enjoy it.
I am as anti-angst as it gets with books. SF nearly killed me (esp. w/ cheating). All I can say is: I survived ICoS! Barely, but I did. And I'm so thankful I read it. Hsin & Boyd are pretty much my favorite couple ever. :)
If you ever do decide to read it, find a buddy! :) And...you've got me to vent to!
