The last story I read for this series was ALPHA, and just scrolling back on that last installment and I seriously cannot get over how good it is. Each story so far have carefully crafted pathos, and I'm always invested.

MESSAGE was the most disturbing. A girl draws to chronicle her daily life while the teacher marks each page. Every single entry becomes even more convoluted and teeming with morbid possibilities as the suspense and paranoia build up until that last panel. Fan theories and speculations make in the comments made it more sickening.

This is such an underrated series overall. But the author's storytelling is distinct and unusual that it all than makes up for the simplistic art style.

The artist's personal style grows on you because what it lacks in the visual department, it's quick to make up for the variety and intrigue in its stories. The collection of tales aren't strictly horror, some of them border on science fiction macabre bordering on Twilight Zone vein and I live for it! The last story I really thought could be adapted on screen is ALPHA.
