Right? Just does everyone who gets on board this new ship just conveniently forget that Rhys willingly molested Fayre, tortured and blackmailed her into an arrangement and mind-raped her? Um but oh it's okay if the love interest does it, I guess? Sorry, I just...🤦🏼♀️

thats what im saying like did she just conveniently forget that? like what? feels like a completely different series.
Exactly I think for me that's the reason why I can't read SJM, it almost feels like I can't trust her as an author to execute the story in a way that I would enjoy or even be able to find satisfying.
He was just manhandling her mangled broken arm in that dungeon in Book 1, now he's promising to make sure her hair doesn't get messed up as he flies her around like some Aladin wannabe heartthrob what is this nonsense.
The characterization is SUCH an inconsistent mess.
