Have completed 350 pges at this point. Seems like Draper has done a passable job of remaining balanced and objective in his account, most of the time at any rate. He seems to have treated the subject of the presidency empathically, and yet interjecting episodically an attitude of "calling 'em as I sees 'em". Am glad that I have chosen to make this a fast read. Feels timely to be doing the last 8 yrs in review at this point.
