Is this just how art people see chaos?

So showing seemingly unrelated pieces in a show is to demonstrate a preference for "an exuberant orgy of mental gymnastics that would encourage a fluid exchange of meaning...the pleasurable rubbig of one idea against another to see what sparks fly."

Not buying this...

So the situationists were "excavated and revalidated" in the late 1980s but that line missed the who and why ...It appears the historical context is often lacking in this book except the first few paragraphs beginning a chapter.
