In art class Melinda has to pull apart a wishbone with someone else and whatever bone she has she will draw the turkey for the assignment. Her teacher M.r Freeman is a very peculiar teacher.

In biology Melinda met this boy named David Petrakis. David in this book is using the literary element imeregry to describe David. He is cute when his braces comes off, brillant to make all the teachers nervous, and he never gets bullied. I don't think they'll be a couple but It would be funny if they were.

Melinda was observing the cheerleaders. She describes them as gorgeous, straight-teethed, long-legged, wrapped n fashion designs, giving sports cars on their birthdays and she called them " Pride of the Blue Devils." It's so funny how she describes them as that and not the popular girls instead.

Melinda is now starting her first year in high school with new things that she's really not looking forward to. M.r Neck who is a history teacher who gave Melinda her first demerit. Characterization is being showed towards Melinda because its shows us how shy she is on the first day of school. The author is probably going to make her not shy later on in the book.
